About me…

Andrea R. Olson, MA, Min.

Andrea Olson, MA, Min.I trained in the art of psychotherapy at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California, where the motto is “Tending the Soul of the World.” Our studies were steeped in the traditions of Jungian/archetypal psychology and mythology, and grounded in Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT license) preparation courses. I hold a Master’s Degree from Pacifica in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology.

I attend seminars each year to continue my education, including most recently conferences with James Hillman, Jungian Analyst, psychotherapist, and author, on the topic of “Pagan Psychology: A Therapy for Psychotherapy.” I believe in lifelong learning and engaging in ongoing supervision/consultation.

I completed my certificate in Movement-based Expressive Arts Therapy, as taught by pioneer Daria Halprin, at Tamalpa Institute.

I am an Ordained Minister and Depth-oriented Counselor with the Association for the Integration of the Whole Person, a non-profit religious corporation in California. I am not a licensed psychotherapist and the services I provide are not “therapy.” I do not claim to be a therapist, nor do I treat people with mental health disorders. As a Minister, I treat spiritual maladies, based in the unconscious of the person, and work to heal the soul with the appropriate spiritual coaching.

My undergraduate degree is a BBA in Entrepreneurship & Strategic Management from the University of North Texas. I led dancers in the African Percussion Ensemble for 4 1/2 years. I’ve been dancing and teaching dance for over 15 years and have been an artist for over 20, in the modes of oil pastel, ceramics, drawing, painting, and multi-media.

I believe that all people should have access to spiritual healing. I look forward to hearing from you.
